SAKURA-DO Featured in British Vogue: Strawberry Shortcake

We’re delighted to return to British Vogue this summer, celebrating standout food and drink brands.

This July, SAKURA-DO returns to British Vogue’s food and retail section for the second of three monthlyh placements across June, July, and August 2026 issues, in print and digital. Our jiggly cheesecake features on Vogue’s Summer Hamper page in print, with our signature strawberry shortcake spotlighted online.

“Sakura-do is a luxury family-owned Japanese Patisserie in London, celebrated for its handcrafted mille crepe cakes, freshly made mochi and signature strawberry shortcake, a chiffon-light Japanese classic”

– As featured in British Vogue, July 2026

Our strawberry shortcake is made by hand with layers of light Japanese chiffon sponge, fresh cream and strawberries. Lighter and less sweet than its Western counterpart, it’s a quietly elegant classic that has become one of our most loved creations.

Everything we make reflects the precision and restraint of Japanese patisserie, brought to a British audience through seasonal collections and bespoke celebratioin cakes. To see our work recognised in British Vogue this summer is a real honour..

You can view the full feature on Vogue’s website.

Look out for our August feature, spotlighting another signature creation.
